Apr 21 2010 Southlake Carroll Returns to State
After a one-year absence the Southlake Carroll Dragons will return to the State tournament this year after an impressive showing at the Region I tournament played at the Jerry S Rawls Texas Tech course in Lubbock, Texas. Trailing the Mansfield "Black" team by three shots after the first round, the Southlake "Black" squad fired a rock-solid 291 in the second round to claim the top spot and one of the two State berths with a two day total of 586. Southlake was led by Jeff Litwak who shot 72-69 and Blake Pugh (75-70) and will be joined in the State tournament May 13-14th by the team they edged out, Mansfield "Black", who was led by Kolton Crawford's 73-70.
