Re: highschoolgolfscoreboard.com

The UIL is pleased to introduce HighSchoolGolfScoreboard.com (HSGS) as a vehicle to help standardize and promote UIL golf.

Over the last two years, the UIL has met with the leadership of the Texas Association of Golf Coaches (TAGC) and High School Golf Scoreboard (HSGS) to further advance the sport in an ever increasing world of technology.

The UIL, HSGS and the TAGC have worked together to develop a state-of-the-art technology solution for advancing and standardizing high school golf in Texas. Please take a moment to review the following information. Share this information with your golf coaches if you are the athletic director.

There is no UIL requirement to participate in this program. HSGS has provided live scoring for the UIL state golf tournament the past two years and this additional visibility has added not only of the tournament, but the schools and players participating.

Some of the additional benefits and goals of this partnership included:

• No cost to schools or coaches or the UIL
• Recognition and exposure for schools and players
• State team rankings
• Allows schools to submit rosters
• Allows schools to submit tournament results

Your school’s participation will allow coaches to submit entire team rosters prior to their first tournament, submit tournament schedules, submit invitational and district tournament results and also submit tournament results even when the host school does not.

Attached is a “Getting Started” guide (pdf) which you can forward to your golf coach. HSGS provides video, audio and written tutorials to provide easy access for coaches submitting rosters and results. All coaches are provided free memberships with access to load rosters and submit results.
