Biography
Determined. Several weeks ago, I was asked to describe myself in one word. Determined is the word that came out of my mouth without even having to consider the request. I am determined to receive a strong education. I am determined to achieve my goal as a golfer. I am also determined to maintain my character through the highs and lows of my life.
As a junior at Fredericksburg High School “me” time in the moment is very limited. As difficult as it is for me to come to terms with at times, my time as a sixteen year old “kid” is dedicated to my future. My time is divided into three parts; academics, golf and family.
I enjoy and appreciate the education I am receiving. The teachers who love what they do and are masters of imparting knowledge are helping me to achieve my goal. I was just inducted into the National Honor Society. I am also a member of “i Opener” Student Leadership Council. Leaders in our community select high school students from submitted applications. Criteria is based on grades, extracurricular activities and proven leadership. In school, I especially enjoy History, Technology and Rocketry. I hope to pursue a career in the Engineering field.
Golf has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My father would custom fit me with clubs and I would join him on the range and course since the age of three. My mother loves a photo of me at 2, where I am pictured with Ben Crenshaw giving me a “putting lesson” on a little green in his backyard. I have been playing competitively since the age of 10. I was the “One Man Golf Team” at my middle school, winning all but one tournament during my 3 years there. I have attended golf schools at Duke and Stanford Universities. I began playing in the STPGA and now play in both TJGT and AJGA. My goal is to play collegiate golf, continuing my education while playing a game that I love.
Family is important to me. Participating in church activities, going on exciting vacations together and just talking to the people who care the most will always be at the core of my life. My parents support my sister and I in all we do and all we dream to achieve. It is from my parents and grandparents that I have learned the value of a good, strong character.
Highlights
