Texas Rankings Top players and schools in the state!

A Note Concerning The 2016-17 Rankings

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mark Laesch, founder of GolfStat, after a prolonged battle with ALS. Mark was a fierce advocate for golf at all levels of competition, and having worked closely with Mark over the last decade to adapt his college ranking system to develop the nation's first high school golf ranking system, we know that Mark was proud to have left behind a wide-reaching legacy. We here at HighSchoolGolfScoreboard.com send our condolences to his family as we grieve the loss of our friend.

A Word on Rankings

Below, you'll find the available rankings for both the University Interscholastic League (UIL) and the Texas Assoc. of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS). These rankings consist of scores provided by high school coaches across the state and verified by Golfstat. The tournament director or ANY participating coach may submit tournament results to the HSGS. HS Scoreboard provides rankings by conference, region and district. The mini-rankings only show you the top 9 schools or players in the category chosen. To view expanded rankings, you may subscribe for an annual membership.

  • Must participate and have a qualifying finish in at least 3 rounds after November 1
  • Must participate and have a qualifying finish in at least 5 rounds after March 7
  • Must participate and have a qualifying finish in at least 7 rounds after April 11

  • 9-hole rounds are not eligible for rankings

Course requirements:

  • Girls must play on courses of at least 4800 yards
  • Boys must play on courses of at least 5300 yards

Important Notes

  • The criteria is based on 18 hole 'rounds' and not 'tournaments'. Many tournaments may have multiple rounds.
  • Rounds reduced to 9 holes due to weather or other cancellation reasons are not included in rankings, but can be viewed under tournament results on team pages.
  • Rankings for the 2016-17 season will begin in November; 1+ (3A-1A) and 3+ (6A-4A) rounds submitted to be included in the ranking
  • These criteria reflect the reduced UIL tournament schedule and were approved by the Tx Association of High School Golf Coaches (TAGC) as well as input from coaches statewide at each level of classification.

Tournaments have yet to be tagged as being included in the rankings, please check back later.
